iTunes 11.x (windows 7), the grid mode pop-down playlist view (even the description is a pain)
- with wide high-resolution monitors (1080p) song list reads like a newspaper written in another language
- redundant album art shows up thrice on same screen
- dark text on dark background makes it feel like i’m trying to read a book from ten feet away with light from a birthday candle
- silver skeumorphic look makes all the buttons and controls blend in and hard to find.
did they even ux?
Apple really should have UX’d harder before making iTunes 11. Everyone I have watched use iTunes 11 has HATED it and gotten REALLY CONFUSED. They like the old school sidebar and get lost in the new weirdness. I appreciate that they want to polish and improve iTunes, but they should have had actual people use it. Redundancy like this is just crappy. No, nono, no. I’m looking forward to iTunes 12.
